The integrated management system of Babcok Borsig Service GmbH meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and combines quality management with environmental management as well as health and occupational safety management in accordance with the SCC** model.

Detailed operating and working instructions are available for all essential operations. Additional customer requirements are implemented according to project-specific details on the basis of the above mentioned instructions.

In addition to its comprehensive qualification as a competent manufacturer in accordance with the regulations of the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC, Module H, H1, Babcock Borsig Service GmbH also disposes of the quality licences according to ASME Standard (S Stamp, Boiler Proper and Power Piping) and National Board Inspection Code ( R Stamp) for the performance of its services all over the world. These qualifications are used in the areas of construction, repair and conversion of all pressurised components in power stations and other industrial branches.

Furthermore Babcock Borsig Service GmbH is a qualified manufacturer of components according to the KTA licence 1401 for nuclear plants.

In the area of research and development the Babcock Borsig Service Group is involved not only in its own developments (e.g. heat recovery) but also in current research projects for modern thermal power stations at national and international level. An essential field of activity is the further development and qualification of highly heat resistant power station materials for services and construction.
