Pulveriser
With the employment of further experienced staff Babcock Borsig Service extended its competence in the area of pulverising technology in fiscal year 2004 and bundled its comprehensive know-how in a new Center of Competence for pulverising technology. We offer our customers full solutions for the pulverisation of lignite and hard coal and in the area of biomass pulverisation - with consideration of CO2 reduction.
Our range of services not only includes the construction of new pulverisers but also the conversion and/or modification of existing plants as well as customer advice, planning, design and supply of components.
Basic engineering and design of pulverisers as well as static and dynamic classifiers
Thermal calculations
Implementation of customer-specific process technology
Project planning and project handling
Pulveriser inspection
Preparation of studies
Spare parts management including the supply of all spare and wear parts
For low-NOx firing systems the pulveriser is of decisive importance; in this area Babcock Borsig Service makes the required technologies and services available for its own makes as well as any third-party makes:
Modernisation of any pulveriser types in the world
Optimisation of output and pulverisation for low-NOx firing
Adjustment and optimisation for the whole world-wide spectrum of coal or other fuels (wood pellets, olive kernels, sewage sludge)
Hardfacing on all wear parts for service life extension
For all vertical mills Babcock Borsig Service has developed procedures for the hardfacing on grinding tables and rollers which make it possible to carry out the hardfacing work without extensive dismantling of wear parts. These procedures can also be used for pulverisers in the cement and steel-making industry.
Our core competencies include engineering, design and construction of pulverisers for the power station industry. In this area Babcock Borsig Service deals in particular with the construction of shock-pressure resistant pulverisers supplied on a turn-key basis which comply with international standards. This pulveriser design for the pulverisation of hard coal of world-wide origin is called ring and roller mill or vertical mill. For the pulverisation of lignite the distributor fan beater mill has been successfully used for many decades.
In connection with the optimisation of old plants the implementation of feasibility studies is also an important integral part of our customer service. |
