Ash Removal Technology
In the area of ash removal technology in conventional power stations Babcock Borsig Service offers a comprehensive range of services for construction and conversion: Planning, design, control technology, manufacture, installation, commissioning, service, inspection and repair.
The range of products refers to the extraction of furnace ash as well as to the ash transport from all ash collection points in coal-fired steam generators, including external ash removal systems for large distances.
To increase the availability of power stations we have developed ash removal systems which guarantee reliable operation and operate highly economical with regard to energy demand, operation, maintenance, repair and investment costs.
For the ash removal from combustion chambers mainly drag-chain wet deashers of different design are used, depending on the material to be conveyed: for slag granules, ash from hard coal and lignite firing systems as well as for the transport of smelting residues and refuse ash.
